*Rules Summary:
1. Race length will
be 35%
2. Pit frequency
will be 1x
3. Caution flags will be used
4. Full hardcore mode including forced cockpit will be used.
5. No cheating. Violators will be ejected from the league.
6. Any admin(s) that get knocked out of the race are REQUIRED
to stick around and
help admin the remainder of the event to keep tabs on racing
incidents, etc.
*Terms and
their definitions:
-"Pit roll-thru" Means a driver is
required to come down pit road to serve a
penalty, but does NOT have to stop at pit stall.
-"stop and go" Means a driver is to stop and pit in their pit
box to serve a
penalty.
-"Chop blocking" Means a driver dives to the inside to
intentionally block a
faster driver, almost "chopping the nose" off the front
fender.
*Resetting/restarts:
1. All drivers must be on time for the
start of the race. There will be no restarts
for a late driver.
2. If a wreck occurs that involves 5 or more cars due to
server warp, or other
reason that is out of drivers' control within the first lap
of the race, admin
may restart race.
3. There will be NO RESTARTS due to driver error alone.
4. Admin may restart race if it is obvious the server has a
problem. If a server
crashes or becomes un-raceable, the race will end as a
rain-out or be an official race if it has gone over 50%, and a
export can be retrieved. If it has not been official the
race will be postponed to the next open Monday.
*Pace
Laps, Cautions, and Restarts:
1. When the yellow flag waves, DO NOT
slam on the brakes, coast and slow gradually. If wreck occurs
because of a driver carelessly slamming brakes, the offending
driver will receive a warning.
2. The "Lucky Dog" rule is in effect.
3. Leaders MAY allow, but
are not required to let lapped cars have their lap back
SAFELY! Lapped cars MUST petition leader for permission to get
lap back. All that must be said is (lap).
4. Racing to the yellow flag is NOT permitted unless there are
10 or less laps to go.
6. Drivers are allowed to pass before the start finish line on
the OUTSIDE ONLY
after the drop of the green flag, if the driver ahead is too
slow in restarting.
7. Leader must stay no more than
0.3 seconds
behind the pace car, and the rest of
the field must maintain same distance,
0.3
seconds, from car in front.
8. All trucks are REQUIRED to
stagger on pace laps till the 1 to go has been given. The
leader will choose either high or low and all cars stagger
back from there till the end of the line. ie: Leader chooses
high, 2nd car goes low, 3rd car goes high etc. All cars are to
resume single file or double file with lapped cars when the 1
to go is given.
9. Leader must maintain same pace speed as pace car, even
after pace car ducks to
pit road until the green waves. No driver is allowed to "jump"
before the green flag waves. Jumping the start will either be
penalized by the game, or by the admin.
10. No speeding up or
slowing down!
*Pit Stops:
1.
When entering pits, cars are to stay on the far right side of
pit road, near
the grass until turning into his/her pit stall. This rule is
in effect for all
tracks except Watkins Glen, where cars are required to stay on
the far left side
of pit road (Warning first, Admin's discretion thereafter).
You can use part of
the pit stall before your own if it is clear to do so. You
may not use more than
one pit stall to get to your own.
2. When exiting the pits, cars are to exit their pit box and
go to the far right
side of pit road, as long as the lane is clear (Warning)
3. When exiting the pits with another car to the outside of
you, a driver is not
allowed to force the outside car over the yellow line, or into
the grass.
4. When approaching pit road, a driver is not allowed to slow
down the cars behind
them, then speed up again to get an advantage on the field
before entering the
pit road speed zone. Cars are to maintain pace car speed until
entering pit road.
5. If a track has access roads to pit road, drivers MUST use
them unless the Admin
says otherwise.
*Qualifying:
1. No chat
during qualifying. This includes Ventrilo or text chat.
2. All Nextel Cup rules apply, including grass cutting,
apron running, etc.
3. If it is suspected that a driver cut the grass or apron
during qualifying,
judging by his/her qualifying speed, driver may be subject
to send in replay
file of his/her qualifying. If a replay isn't sent in, or
it's discovered that
cheating took place, this will result in a GREEN flag stop
and go penalty in the
following event the next week.
*Racing:
1. If a driver has a
protest, that driver MUST provide THEIR replay clip of the
incident with the entire lap of the incident. Any protest MUST
be made within 24 hrs of the newsletter. Any protest that is
lost will result in a 10 point reduction. If the admin's agree
that an error has occurred, they will do everything in their
power to rectify the situation.
2.
All penalties set by administrators after protest appeals are
final.
3. Cars that are damaged or off the pace must
maintain their line
when faster cars
are closing in.
Those that cause a
wreck or damage leader pack cars, will receive a 25 point
reduction
4. There will be NO retaliation, wrecking or intentional
wrecking of any kind. This
WILL result in a 1 race suspension, and a loss of points for
the event in which
the intentional wreck occurred.
5. During green flag conditions, please keep chat on both Ventrilo and text to a
minimum. Notifying drivers of intentions to pit or exit pit,
however, is encouraged.
6. If a driver warps during a race, and at least 3 drivers
bring this to attention,
the driver will be asked to go to the back of the pack and
stay there, or stay on the
high groove until the connection problem clears. Not doing so
will result in a loss of
championship points for the race.
If you fall out
due to your connection, you are allowed to reconnect 1 time.
If you fall out again, then your night is done. (this is not
just directed at 56k'rs, this goes for all connections!)
8. If you
are more than 4 laps down. DO NOT line up on the inside line.
Roll through the pits when it's open to the lead lap cars. You
will get an end of the longest line penalty or roll through
when it's open to you, and make sure you are at the back by
the time the green drops. ( Penalty will be at Admin's
discretion depending on the severity of the infraction!)
9. Do NOT argue with an Admin over a judgment made. Questions
can be raised after the
event is over and all complaints to be forwarded to the Admin
and will be evaluated.
10. Blocking..
A. Super speedways: Hugging the low line IS allowed, but
if another car or line of cars gets a considerable run, the
car in front is NOT allowed to "chop-block" which would force
a car or line of cars behind to dramatically jump out of the
gas or hit brake. On straight-aways, if there are MORE than 2
laps to go in the event, if a car
behind has closed the gap and it is obvious it is a faster
car, the front car is not allowed to throw a block to stop or
slowdown his momentum.
*Drivers
Meeting:
1. Drivers
meeting is mandatory.
2. If you know you
will be late due to work, or you just need a few extra
minutes, please let the admin know at least 1 hr before
meeting time which is 8:45 pm est.
3. Ventrilo
is required for you to be considered present for the drivers
meeting. NO EXCEPTIONS!
5. If you
miss the meeting and Qualifying, then you do not race that
night. (It is not fair to all that showed up on time, for late
drivers to show up and race!)
*Rules Not
Covered Above:
1. Any rules not covered above that
become an issue, will either be dealt with by
the sim itself, or by the judgment of the Admin's.
2. Protests are to be discussed after the event is over, but
within 24 hrs of the conclusion of the race.
3. Abusive flaming of any other driver or admin in the RIT
League or S.N.T.R. could result in an ejection or 1 race
suspension.
4. If a troublesome driver continues to violate common rules
following a probation
or suspension, Admins will use this as grounds for ejection
from the league.
